My weirdness in writing...

June 15, Wednesday, Nicole shot our M-commerce video with Tung as the main actor during lunch. Tung is a good actor and has a very expressive face. Maybe that is why he started his own King Fu stunt team in Finland. Reminds me of Team Ryouko in Canada. =) I tutored Sally a bit of English, and it is probably the last time that I will see her. Then Walkings motorboked me to the restaurant GanBei in Dunhua. We are a bit early, and so we go to the book store. I buy Rich Dad Poor Dad for Mijam because she was looking for it as a gift for a friend. It caught my interest and so I decided to ask Tung for his book, so I can read it. At the restaurant I remember seeing this tall waitress and thought "wow she is so tall and pretty". Then during dinner, she serves our meal and her voice is totally a male voice. Humms,,, she had nice legs, I am confused. At the restaurant, if you kiss someone for 10 seconds, they will give you an extra dish to BBQ. It was a very lively restaurant with a crazy atmosphere. At 8pm, they also have a ritual of asking what each table is celebrating (our table said that I was going back to Canada) and the host would read out all the reasons. Some peoples reasons were, "we have been dating for 3 weeks", or "my business just got bankrupt" and everyone would then cheer. Lastly at they would do a toast and if you finish your drink you will get a refill. My buddy Shelly, Dolly and Walkings treated me. Shelly and Dolly would begin work at Unilever as part of the brands Lux and Dove marketing team. They are so lucky, I feel so happy for them. It was a very competitive position to get into. We went shopping for a bit in Sogo after for shoes. We each baught a pair, and I have honestly never seen so many women looking for shoes before, or so many different styles of shoes for that matter. You get kinda dizzy stepping in the shoe department. Walkings motorbiked me back to school, and we chatted in Chinese. Actually the whole night I had to speak Chinese because they wanted me to practice more before I left. And I survived the test =)

Thursday was Mirjam's birthday, but she didnt have many plans to celebrate. She was going to a Christian radio station, and so Idecided to tag along. She met a guy that works there from the IMBA graduation dinner because she also worked in a Christian Radio station in Finland. We arrived late though, around 3pm and her friend Daniel, said we were just in time for their birthday celebration. They were celebrating the June birthdays that day. We watched a piggy dance and had some cake then toured the whole company. It is a really nice place, with many departments. They have TV programs, English teaching programs, radio shows... Daniel gave us free CD's and ones hes in too. They have really nice sound rooms and interior designs. We walked around the Miramar Mall after and then I baught Mirjam a little cake. We headed to Shilin to shop for a bit because she has never been there, and then went back to school for some dumplings. That night, it was Fred and Khalid's fairwell and we went to Brass Monkeys.
Friday, went to a street full of stinky tofu vendors with Peter, Fred and Raymond. As usualy, Peter liked the stinky tofu. It actually doesnt taste as bad as the small. We had friend and ones in the spicy soup. We also tried the sticky rice as it was the special dragonboat festival.

Saturday, was the fellowship planning night for their retreat. It is interesting that they will also go on a mission trip in the south of Taiwan in August. They will be teaching sex-education to highschool students. I was really surprised when I heard this, because usually I hear of going to mission trips as camp counsellors. It must be a real challenge for them to communicate God's perspective and also gain the trust of the students on such touchy subjects. They wished that I could join them, but I doubt I can communicate with the students in Chinese if I was still in Taiwan. At night, we had a fairwell night at the restaurant Vino Vino for Oscar and Mie and Olivia.

Sunday(June 12), Church, then went to watch dragon boating with Peter and Diana. We got onto the bus going the opposite direction, and this cause Peter to be a little agitated when we joked around saying it was his fault for making himself late for the race. He was really eager to see the race. Peter is so cute, like the friendly giant. I went to the English church at night with Mirjam. Then we all met up for Viviannes fairwell at a Mexican restaurant. The food was really good. We went to a German game pub after, and they had mnay games that you could choose. There were so many different games with so many rules, I guess we werent in the mood to really concentrate on the games... but Khalid had a great time as a bunch of chinese girls invited him to join their game. Julienne also brought the girlfriend he recently met, everyone seems to be meeting someone at the end of the term =P...

Monday, I had lunch with Ankie at My Noodle House and I finally got to have the cold chicken dry noodle that I wanted to try. Alhough it gave me this garlic breath the whole day, it was worth it =P mmmm... At night me Diana and Mirjam chilled at the student lounge and watched Chocolat.

Tuesday, I carted my 30KG of stuff to mail back to Canada, while it began to rain. I had no arms for an umbrella, so I just covered my boxes with the plastic raincoat I saved from the zoo and made it to the post office before the rain really came down hard. Dinner with Ankie at the Bean restaurant, and then went to the student lounge to watch What Dreams May Come. I remember watching half of it before, so I am glad I could finish it here.
