Friday was NCCU 78th Anniversary. There were cheerleading competitions. At NCCU, every department has their own cheerleading team. There were 12 in total, it was crazy. They arent even real team cheerleaders, but they were so good and kept throwing all the girls in the air. That night we watched Star Wars 3. We were were the fan club in the theatre for the premiere. I have never watched a movie with people waving $150 USD light sabres when the movie started, and people applauding after Yoda's words. I guess that is why I am not apart of the fan club =P. It was fun, and the movie was good. The weird thought I got throughout the movie was just, what is the good side? and how scary it is to think that you are going in the right direction when the truth is entirely the opposite.
So on Saturday Night, I asked Ankie what she would do the next day. She said go to church and do her work. I was like Yay =) THen in the morning, she was up doing work, but she told me she wouldnt come to church today because she couldnt sleep all night. When I returned she was sleeping for the whole day. I told her about the English service at night I would attend, but she didnt wake up for that.
At the English service, it felt like home. It was so multicultural, and this was the first sermon that I fully understood...=) And to think, I almost missed it. Hugo, sms-ed me and said he would be late... then the message became "he cant go". I needed him to take me because I didnt know where to go. So I joined a few friends for dinner...after I ordered... he calls and says he is coming down to meet me and he wants to go to church. I ask if I can cancel my meal, but I couldnt. So I have it changed to take out. Hugo was apparently buying a laptop online at a good deal, and finished late. We were really late (1 hour) for it, but it was so good to be there. I hope Ankie comes one day too.
Monday, some exchange students decided to finally visit the ZOO, which is 5 minutes from out school. It was a humid day and nobody brought unbrellas. When we were up the furthest part of the Zoo, it started to pour buckets of rain. We were so soaked, but luckily there was a food shop that sold plastic rain coats that were like plastic bags. It cost 30NTD, which was the same price as the student entrance price. It was like close to $1 dollar CDN to get into the Zoo, so at least it was a great deal. Maybe thats why there were all these signs by the animals that said they were sponsored by a certain company. But it was kinda sad to see some animals in a space that was REALLY TOO small for them to live in.
Tuesday, I went to practice piano and Ankie came a long. I taught her some of the praise songs I could play and she really liked them. We both agree that once we quit piano, we find an interest in wanting to play piano.
