Saturday was the IMBA graduation. We had a nice aprty at the Angora hotel and the atmosphere was so romantic *sigh* =P.
Sunday, church with Hugo. Then met Sean at Zhongxiao Dunhua. I wanted to introduce him to Ankie, but before they met, Ankie really wanted to go home. So, they just said hi, and Ankie left..awww... SO me and Sean just chatted on the street for a few hours and walked around music stores that open til 2am =P That night, me and Ankie chatted about the issue of gay people, relating to Christianity. At first she didnt want to mention ehr question to me ebcause she said I probably had something against them. She said it seemed to bad, that we say what they are doing is wrong, when they do not hurt others. But, I explained to her how the problem is about how it does not fit God's plan. And Christians are to love everyone the same, because we all have done wrong.
Monday, Danny's fairwell party at KTV. It is amazing how different us foreigners sing at the KTV. Usually my Chinese friends just pick their own songs, then sing themselves. But us exchange students would dance in the front and have like 6 people with 3 mikes screaming their lungs out, totally off key. it was so FUN!! I guess KTV does get kinda boring when everyone just picks their own song and sings it. We all enjoyed what they called a KTV cultural experience. =P
Tuesday, finished the simulation presentation in class =). I was so exhausted from KTV the night before, but I had to go to the girl at the travel agency (Seans friend) to book my Korean flight and tour. It was such a nice day, so I ended up walking around and visited the Sun Yat Sun Memorial hall, and up the Taipei 101 (tallest building in the world). It felt so interesting seeing all the places I have visited from the top. I could even see part of my campus! Although it was a lonely trip up the 101, I am glad I finally went.
That night, I chatted with Ankie. She told me how the things she did that usually made her happy (ie, reading comic books and shopping online) no longer made her happy. That sometimes she just wished she could sleep and not wake up. She had so much work to do, but no motivation to do it, and she had felt there was no reason she was doing it either. We ended up chatting a lot about why I believed in God, and how it changes my life. How God gives me a hope to live for, an everlasting joy in my heart. I told her there are so many things in the Bible that can teach her the truths of life. I let her read a few passages, and she questioned about prayer. She wanted to learn how to pray. I prayed with her that night, jsut a simple prayer about her worries and stresses. I really pray that she will find hope in the Lord and true meaning in her life. At least she realizes there is something missing.
=)
Wednesday was Chan and Jinhee's fairwell night. It's so sad because I learned so much about Koreans from them. These two were like a big brother and sister to me. I guess it is in Korean culture to really take care of those younger than you. Although Chan is over 30 and married, he had such a youthful personality. We had so much fun together joking around about Shuai ge's. We had dinner at Ponderosa (mmm...) then I went with Chan to mee this golf guy at his restaurant. It was a very nice and romantic restaurant. I told Chan how his Korean friend looked like a movie director, and he was surprised. Then the guy told us he studied like film making in Japan. That is where he met his Taiwanese fiance. Awww,,, it is so romantic to meet in Japan, then settle in Taiwan for this girl and open a restaurant for her. =)
Thursday, went to renew visa with Peter at the police station. Then met Fred and Raymond at the handicraft store coincidentally. I walked around the 101 food court after splitting up with Peter, and it is the most gigantic foodcourt ever. THe 101 mall is so high class too. I ended up buying this bread that looked like a normal baguette but was black black, like ink colour. I just couldnt resist (octopus ink bread) buying it because it was sooo weird. It tasted kinda burnt ( I think it's cuz it is so black you cant tell if the bread is burnt of not) =P. But the insides tasted alright. That night I chilled with jimmy a while because he had just got his paycheck and wanted to spend some cash =P. He told me he must go to the bank and deposit it tomorrow or else he may spend it all. We just chatted outside with some street vendor food ( chicken skin kabob, and tian bu la on a stick) and ice slushy drinks. That night, I chatted with Ankie about love and guys, and how similar we are. Like we act like guys, and no one looks at us as girls =P. But, I really hope to introduce her to Gun... =P I am so bad, I am becoming like Jess (my match-making friend)
