It was funny that I got a phone call from Daddy Tuesday morning before my exam. He told me to READ THE BIBLE WHEN I HAVE TIME. I told him I have, but it is like the last thing I would expect my Dad to tell me because he usually doesnt talk about spiritual things unless we initiate. Then he says hes READING the Chinese PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE I bought him. CRAZY, I was so happy because previously he had made fun of the fact that I got him that book, so I was discouraged at whether he would read it. I'm reminded of how when I was reading that book in English, I thought it would be so good to have a Chinese version for my Dad. Then like over a year later, the day before my flight at Mitchelles a Chinese book catches my eye. I take a look, and it is the Purpose Driven Life Chinese version. And it was so weird that I saw it too, because I almost left the bookstore, but I met Tim from church and then stayed a while longer. It was like perfect timing. And thinking back, I think Dad has to trust God for my safety in Taiwan, because he no longer has control over that.
I really hope Daddy will continue to search for God!!
